With hot weather here to stay, families are wondering which splash parks, beaches, and pools in Terre Haute will be open in 2023! Here’s what we found so far!

Terre Haute Pools, Beaches, and Splash Parks

New to Our List in 2022! Lazy L Lake and Campground

New owners! This West Terre Haute beach has camping, a roped off swim area, and a beach!

Deming Park Pool

Deming Pool will open May 27 (weather permitting), and will be open daily until August 9th. It will be open on Saturday & Sunday only from August 12th-August 27th.

Hours are 12:00 pm-5:00 pm Monday-Thursday and 12:00 pm-6:00 pm Friday-Sunday. The pool will be closed during inclement weather. There are no refunds for inclement weather.

  • Adult Lifejacket with ID $3.00 each
  • Group Admission (15 or more) $3.00/person
  • 3 and under FREE Child Lifejacket with ID $3.00 each

Fowler Park Beach

Operated by the Vigo county Parks and Recreation Department, the Fowler Park Beach and restroom facilities have standard hours of 12:00-6:00 pm daily. Admission is free!

Chances and Services for Youth Splash Pad in Terre Haute.

CASY is ready to open the only free, public splash pad in Terre Haute (new in 2019!) in May 2023.

Country Club of Terre Haute

This pool is open to country club members and their guests.

Terre Haute Campground

The pool is open for campground guests who rent a cabin, yurt, tent site, or RV site.

Pool at the Vigo County YMCA

The pool at the Vigo County YMCA is open to members and visitors who purchase a day pass.

Wabash Valley Beaches, Splash Pads, and Pools

These pools and beaches are right here in the Wabash Valley! For convenience, we’ve listed them in order of distance from downtown Terre Haute.

Forest Park Pool in Brazil

One of the closest pools to visit is the Forest Park Pool in Brazil. This popular outdoor pool in Brazil opens Memorial Day weekend. 16.2 miles from Terre Haute. 

Marshall Community Pool

Purchase season passes, day passes, or rent the pool for your party at the Marshall Community Pool in Illinois! 6,215 square foot pool, six lap lanes, 572 square foot splash pad, diving tower, waterslides, climbing wall, zero depth entry, shade, and concessions. 17. 5 miles from Terre Haute.

Tiger Falls Paris Splash Park.

In 2021, the Paris (Illinois) Splash Park will be open from Memorial Day through the month of August. 24 miles from Terre Haute.

Twin Lakes Beach in Paris, IL

This FREE beach is not far from the Paris Splash Park! 24 miles from Terre Haute.

Raccoon Lake

If you drive 35 miles from Terre Haute, you can boat, swim, or fish on Raccoon Lake. 38 miles from Terre Haute.

Rockville Public Pool

The Rockville pool is just 26 miles from Terre Haute.

Pelican Cove Aquatic Center Splash Pad and Pool in Robinson, IL

Pelican Cover Water Park is the place to spend your summer! Enjoy two water slides that are 165 feet long and 148 feet long. Or come splash on the 23 foot tall Pirate Ship! 42 miles from Terre Haute.

Greencastle Aquatic Center Pool and Splash Pad

Greencastle (45 miles from Terre Haute) has both a pool (admission fee) and a free splash pad. The surrounding park features an Olympic size swimming pool with water slide and diving well, the Emerald Palace super playground, picnic areas, lighted ball diamond, and lighted tennis courts.

Splash Island in Plainfield, IN

Splash Island waterpark in Plainfield has both indoor and outdoor swimming facilities! 56 miles from Terre Haute. See our review HERE. 

New in 2022! Murphy Aquatic Center in Avon

Cabanas, toddler zone, wave pool, zero depth entry, slides, and more! 1 hour and 15 minutes from Terre Haute.

Rainbow Beach Family Aquatic Center in Vincennes Indiana. 

Rainbow beach has slides and a splash pad with tot time, open swim, lap swim, and rental for private parties! 58 miles from Terre Haute.

Indiana State Parks with Pools in the Region

Shakamak State Park

Kids love swimming at the Shakamak State Park pool, which is just 30 miles from Terre Haute. In addition to the State Park entrance fee, the pool cost will be $3 a person and 2 and under are free. For pool operations, all infants, toddlers or small children who are not “potty trained” shall be required to wear an elasticized swim diaper before entering and while using the pool area. Turkey Run State Park

Turkey Run (35 miles from Terre Haute) has a swimming pool. The pool is typically open Memorial Day through no later than Labor Day.

Brown County State Park

The pool at Brown County State Park has a splash pad, lazy river, and slide (you can read our review HERE). 78 miles from Terre Haute.

Daytrip! Pools and Beaches Beyond the Wabash Valley

These pools, splash pads, and beaches are more than 60 miles away from downtown Terre Haute. Are they worth the trip for your family?

Splash Cove in Decatur, IL

Opening in on May 29, 2021, Splash Cove will feature a lazy river, zero-depth entry leisure pool with an interactive play structure, wet deck, lily pad crossing feature, and vortex, an 8-lane lap pool with zip line, rock climbing wall, 3-meter diving board, 6 meter high dive, 4 body slides, and a zero-depth entry baby pool. A full service concession stand will also be available. 97 miles from Terre Haute.

Fishers YMCA

We loved this pool, splash pad, and kid zone in part because we were members of the Vigo County YMCA. That means our admission was free thanks to the YMCA reciprocity program! 101 miles from Terre Haute.
