Splash Parks, Beaches, and Pools in Terre Haute and the Wabash Valley. What’s open in 2020?

With hot weather here to stay, families are wondering which splash parks, beaches, and pools in Terre Haute will be open in the Covid-19 environment. Here’s what we found so far!

Open in 2020: Splash Parks and Pools Near Me 

Deming Park Pool

Opening date is set for June 8th weather permitting. Will be open daily until August 3. It will be open on weekends only August 8-September 6. Hours of operation: 12-5 p.m. Mon.-Thurs. & 12-6 p.m. Fri-Sun. Child Daily: $2.75 Child Life jacket: $2.00 with ID. Adult Daily (13 & over): $3.00 Adult Life jacket: $3.00 with ID. Group Admission (15 or more): $2.75 each. 2 and under: FREE. Call 812-232-0147 for information on Season Passes & Pool Rentals.

Fowler Park Beach

Vigo county Parks and Recreation Department has announced that Fowler Park Beach and restroom facilities are open. 

Forest Park Pool in Brazil, Indiana.

This year, Forest Park Pool will have swimming lessons, adult swim/lap swim, night swim, movie nights, water aerobics/HIIT classes, and adult water volleyball league.

Chances and Services for Youth Splash Pad in Terre Haute.

CASY is ready to open the only free, public splash pad in Terre Haute (new in 2019!) in June 2020.

Country Club of Terre Haute

This pool is open to country club members and their guests.

Pool at the Vigo County YMCA

The pool at the Vigo County YMCA is open with restrictions. 

Tiger Falls Paris Splash Park.

Playgrounds should be able to open in Illinois on June 26; the splash park is considered a playground. Once it opens, everyone will have to help the kids understand social distancing and only one family unit will be allowed on a bench. 

Terre Haute Campground

The pool is open for campground guests who rent a cabin, tent site, or RV site. 

Marshall Community Pool.

Originally the plan was for this pool to stay closed, but they opened in July! 100 customers at each session. Masks required.

Pelican Cove Aquatic Center Splash Pad and Pool in Robinson, IL

Pelican Cove splash pad is currently open. Admission is $3 per person.
It is open in sessions so proper cleaning can take place.  Session 1: 10am-12:30pm. Session 2: 1-3:30pm. Session 3: 4-6:30pm. Anyone entering the facility will have their temperature taken by a park employee and will sanitize their hands before going over to the Splash Pad. Guests are encouraged to practice social distancing while visiting. The Tiki-Hut will be open serving Dippin’ Dots and drinks. The pool will be open June 26th.

Splash Island in Plainfield, IN

The outdoor Splash Island waterpark in Plainfield is set to open during Stage 5 of the Back on Track Indiana plan. 

Rockville Public Pool

The Rockville, IN pool is opening soon. 

Local Beaches and Pools Closed in 2020:

Splash Cove in Decatur, IL. With our community’s health and safety as our primary concern, we made the difficult decision to forgo opening Splash Cove this summer.

State park pools will not open in 2020 due to Covid-19. 

Fountain at Indiana State University in Terre Haute.
