It’s a strange year (no doubt!), but we’ve found a few places to see Santa in Terre Haute and the Wabash Valley in 2020. Local event coordinators have ways for you to have pictures with Santa, meet his friends, or wave to the jolly man in red as he goes by on his sleigh!
Places to See Santa in Terre Haute and The Wabash Valley in 2020
November 13-December 24. The snow must go on….therefore, Haute City Center will be hosting Santa Photos this year, but they will look a little different. Visits with Santa are scheduled to begin Friday, November 13th and will continue through Christmas Eve (December 24th). There will be plenty of fun and magic as well as a focus on the health and well-being of everyone. Mondays in December are “pet Mondays.” Bring your pets!
Saturdays in December.Make your appointment to visit “your favorite Santa” at Mic’s Pics. Quick sessions start at $25! Hours are appointment only from 1-7pm. They have quick sessions for $25 dollars. This gets 2-8×10 pages of pictures of the best image. They are also booking slightly longer “mini” sessions which gets a bit more time to capture multiple images, from that you can pick up to 6 poses, with 6-pages of photos, for $75. People can schedule by Texting Mic’s Pics at 812-208-2534, message on FB, or by texting Kayla Singhurse at 812-870-0294.
Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays in December. Santa is coming to The Meadows. Fridays 4-7, Saturdays and Sundays noon to 5. Scheduling recommended. All those in attendance are required to adhere to the following safety precautions: Masks will be worn by employees and guests at all times. Guest may remove their mask only while being photographed IF they are social distancing from Santa. Seating will be provided so child and Santa are still in the photo together. If your child and Santa wear masks, your child can sit on Santa’s lap for a short time. Santa & staff will have their temperatures taken at the beginning of each day. Seating will be sanitized between photo sessions.
December. Mrs. Mouse will be at Deming Park at the Tri Kappa shelter from 6-8 pm each night.
December 4, 5, 11, 12, 18, 19 from 6-8 pm.Santa will be in the Santa House at Forest Park in Brazil, IN. There will not be any direct contact with Santa. Masks are required in the Santa house. Only one family inside the Santa house at a time. Please keep social distancing of 6ft while in line. Other rules may be added as circumstances arise.
December 7 from 6-9 pm and December 5, 6, 12 and 13 from 5-8 pm. Bring your letters to Santa! A North Pole mailbox will be set up at the Holiday House in Deming Park for children to mail their letters to Santa. Santa will be there, but will remain socially distanced from all. You may snap pictures with your own camera. Blank stationary can be picked up in front of the Holiday House, or you may use your own. Be sure to include a return address, so that Santa can respond. Mask are required and families must remain socially distanced while waiting.
Saturday, December 5.Santa Claus is coming to Clinton! The fire truck will be escorting Santa and Mrs. Claus from the fire house at 332 Mulberry Street to Riverfront Park on Saturday December 5th at 5:00PM. All residents who would like to help escort Santa and Mrs. Claus to the park can line up along the street at the fire house and follow the initial escort to the park! Just as our Halloween trunk or treat event, this will be a drive through event only! Santa will be escorted from the fire house to Riverfront Park at 5:00 where he and Mrs. Claus will be accepting letters and passing out treats to passengers in the vehicle(s) until 8:00.
Saturday, December 5 and Sunday, December 6. Santa will be hanging out at Trinity Tree Farm in West Terre Haute. Santa’s price is $10 per household. Saturday: 10:00a.m.-5:30p.m. and Sunday: 1:00p.m.-5:30p.m.
Monday, December 7. Santa just called and we have BIG news! SANTA IS COMING to National Cotton Candy Day to spin with Cotton Chaos Gourmet Cotton Candy! Since this year is kinda crazy, Santa thought he’d change up how he does pictures this year. You’ll be able to take pictures while your littles spin cotton candy with Santa! They will have a jar to collect donations for pictures with Santa to purchase toys to sponsor a family for Christmas! Bring the kids MONDAY December 7th from 2-7pm! Santa will appear from 2:30-4:30 and 5:30-7.
Saturday, December 19.Santa will be a Sewer Lair Toys! Stop by the store on Saturday December 19th to meet Santa Claus! He will be there from 1pm-5pm. They will also be raffling off a Sideshow Star Wars Baby Yoda. Raffle tickets are only $10 each! Drawing will be at 5pm. You do not need to be present to win. All health and safety precautions will be in place. This will be a “contactless” Santa event. That does not mean it will be non-interactive event. Santa will be able to converse with your young one’s all while practicing social distancing.
Sunday, December 20. 2020 Stinks, Stank, Stunk! The Grinch will make a special socially-distant visit to Little Bear Coffee Co. Take your picture with the Grinch but don’t get too close, he doesn’t like that! Enjoy a free cookie (while supplies last) after your picture! Entry to the building may be staggered to encourage social distancing. Face masks are required. Please bring in a canned good for the 14th and Chestnut Center, let’s help stock them up for Christmas!
