Wednesday, July 27. FREE teacher supplies at Westminister Village. Westminster Village will be having a FREE supply pickup day for all K-12 teachers on Wednesday, July 27th from 9:00AM – 4:00PM!

Taste Terre Haute will run from July 22-31, allowing for two weekends for community members to indulge in the local cuisine. The event will highlight the flavor variety in the Wabash Valley and showcase our unique offerings. Participating bar or eatery will showcase a signature item, or experiment with something new with a featured “Taste Terre Haute exclusive” menu item. Find out more on the “taste” website!

Throughout the summer, we love to invite makers, crafters, food trucks, and vendors to the farm to share their beautiful, one of a kind items! Grab your girlfriends and join their 3rd Annual Summer Market!

Saturday, July 30. Train Day at the Terre Haute Children’s Museum. The 8th Annual event will feature a number of different train layouts on display for the kids to view! Layouts will include model trains of all sizes with detailed scenery, realistic figures and elaborate structures. Train Day activities are being coordinated by the West Central Indiana Model Railroaders Group and the Terre Haute Children’s Museum, and all the activities are included with Museum admission.

Friday, July 1. Registration begins for library kits such as Early Literacy: Baby Shark.
Friday, July 1. Fowler Park Kayak Event. Join our Rec Coordinator Friday, July 1st from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Fowler Park for a trial basis hourly kayak rental program! We have ten available kayaks for rent at $10/hour. The last rental group will go out at 5:00 p.m.
Friday, July 1. “Stranger Things” are happening at Spice Co. Grab your walkie talkies and join them for a strange night!
Saturday, July 2. Open rowing with the Wabash Valley Crew Rowing Club.
Monday, July 4. Old Fashioned 4th of July Celebration at Studio 12 in 12 Points. Join us for an old-fashioned 4th of July Celebration! The main event will be a pie-eating competition, but we will also have fun little contests happening throughout the day (hog calling, bubble blowing, whistling, and watermelon seed spitting)! There will also be kids activities and live Bluegrass and Americana music from Brent McPike and Solly Burton! Entry to the festival is free, and donations collected to enter the contests will go to Liberty Village. (Please watch for updates as this event is pending as they wait for good health for the Studio 12 owner.)

Ages 9 & Up: Explore an uncharted aquatic world and create your own guide to help explorers find hidden riches, discover spine-chilling sea monsters, and travel the largest ocean current in the world: the Antarctic Circumpolar Current.

Find the Kona Ice Truck at Assembly of God Church at 1:00 p.m. and the South 7th Street Park at 1:30 p.m. to receive your Kona Ice, or join the summer activities with Kona Ice and the West Branch Library beginning at 2:00 p.m. Play mini-golf, toss bean bags, create crafts, meet a therapy dog from Love on a Leash, select a free book to take home, or enjoy a sensory bin and play area just for toddlers!

Sunday, July 10. Pick-nic and pour at Fresh on Cypress at Miller Farms. Pack a picnic and bring the family to Fresh on Cypress on July 10! Add blackberries to your lunch with easy blackberry picking straight from the patch or purchase them already picked. There will also be additional produce available for purchase from Garden Hill Farms. Relax with a bottle of wine or a wine slushy from Meier Winery and enjoy the property, play yard games, and more!

Monday, July 11. Haute Create Kits: Detective Agency with Osmo. Ages 7-11: Travel to famous cities, look for clues, and solve crimes with Detective Agency from Osmo®! You can visit Haute Create during Library hours to try out the game for yourself—no instructions needed! Kits will be available on a first come, first served basis for self-guided play and may only be used in Haute Create.

Monday, July 18. Museum in the Park: Engineering Motion. Helicopters and airplanes and cars, Oh My! Test your engineering and design skills and learn about the science behind some of the ways we move. Museum in the Park is a series of two-hour science sessions for kids 6 to 12-year-olds. This session is limited to 15 children each. Pre-registration is required.
Tues, July 19. Indiana Before the Dinosaurs with the Vigo County Public Library. Discover the abundant marine life that flourished in the prehistoric waters which one covered Indiana—including primitive corals, unusual sponges, and extinct species of fish—with Polly Sturgeon from the Indiana Geological and Water Survey.

These good-natured therapy dogs are eager to listen to your child practice reading aloud in a stress-free setting, complete with cuddles, belly rubs, and ear scratches!
Thursday, July 21. Free Willy at the Moon-Lite. Each car will receive free admission. The first 100 cars will receive complimentary popcorn.
Friday, July 22. Ice skating at Hawthorn Park! Join the Vigo County Parks and Rec Department on Friday, July 22nd at Hawthorn Park from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. for Ice Skating in the Park! We will have a skating rink and $1 train rides courtesy of DIY Rentals. Pre-registration is highly encouraged as spots will fill up quickly!
