There’s a Secret Garden in Terre Haute Waiting for You!

A few weeks ago, a neighbor mentioned that her family had stopped by to see the Wheeler Street Garden. Wheeler Street Garden in Terre Haute? I had NO clue what she was talking about.

Naturally, we had to investigate.

If you’ve ever driven west past the post office on Margaret, you may have seen a painted sign for “Day Lilies.” To get to this secret garden, turn north at this sign!

Wheeler Street Garden in Terre Haute

On Wheeler Street, you’ll find a beautiful private garden that has been opened to the public.

If you’re interested in purchasing flowers, starts, or metal art, please contact the owners in advance, so they can be on site to meet you.

Children are welcome, but the owners ask that parents not allow them to handle the plants.

If you’re lucky, you may even see rabbits hopping around this idyllic nature stop!

We’re grateful for the  owners who work so hard to make their corner of Terre Haute beautiful and invite others to enjoy their flowers with them. If you visit, please share our gratitude and appreciation with the hosts!

For contact information, visit the Wheeler Street Garden facebook page where they say they are “a garden specializing but not limited to daylilies located 2 blocks west of IHOP in Terre Haute. Former Windy Ridge Farm Daylily Gardens owners have opened this new garden adding original yard art!”
