Sweet Summertime–Visit the Vigo County Fair
|You know it’s officially summer when it’s time for the fair! The 2019 Vigo County Fair takes place July 5 to July 13th.
Last year, we popped in one morning to check out (and pet!) the animals. A visit to the animal area is a fun, FREE activity for little ones!
I just took a peek at the official schedule and here are a few things that sound fun for kids and families:
- Horse and pony show
- Demolition derby
- Special blocks of time with free rides and admission at the Midway carnival from 12:00-1:00 p.m. July 6, 7, and 13.
- Demolition derby
- Little Sprouts Learning Day
- Silly Safaris animal show
- Fair parade
The 2019 Vigo County Fair takes place July 5 to July 13th. You can find the complete schedule of events HERE.
In addition to the 4H components, the Midway is sure to attract lots of local visitors. According to the fair website, here’s what you can expect in 2019:
“Drew Exposition is famous for providing state of the art thrill rides, honest games of skill, and extraordinary midway food. Whether you visit during the day or night, your experience will be filled with joy, laughter, and fun times. Guests enjoy the smell of freshly popped popcorn and newly spun cotton candy, as well as the sights and sounds of our impressive rides. At night our midway comes to life with millions of computer controlled lights that can be seen from miles away.”
