Movie Premiere

The premiere of The Drunk is a big deal to Terre Haute. This movie was made by Terre Haute natives and was filmed entirely on location in Terre Haute. The premiere will take place on Saturday, February 15th at the Indiana Theatre.

Pottery

There are a few spots still open for the Couples Valentine’s Pottery on Wednesday from 7-9 pm at the Torner Center in Deming Park. Call today to reserve your spot! 812-232-0147.

Cooking Class

Looking for something unique to do on Valentine’s Day? Clabber Girl invites you to attend a short cooking demonstration and Valentine’s dinnerStart off in the classroom kitchen with a hands-on preparation of your own hors d’ oeuvres. Sit back and enjoy your appetizer while Chef Mandy demos part of your meal. Afterwards, you’ll head out to the Rex Room for an elegant dinner. There will be two sessions held during the evening–one at 6:00PM and one at 7:30PM.

Take your date to Chick Fil-A

Romantic setting? Check! Delicious food? Check! Friendly hosts? Check! Have YOU made your reservation for Valentine’s Day at Chick fil A at Terre Haute? Seating times are at 5:00, 6:00, and 7:00 p.m. on Friday, February 14. Call at 812-232-3675 to reserve your spot. Candlelit table, live jazz–you’re in for a treat!

Take your date to White Castle

The Terre Haute store isn’t listed on the website, but I’ve heard from local families that they have, indeed, made their reservations for a sit-down meal at the Terre Haute White Castle this Valentine’s Day! Call for more details.

An Evening of Romantic Music

Celebrate Valentine’s Day with the Terre Haute Symphony Orchestra. Revel in the beauty of perhaps the most romantic piece ever written, Rachmaninoff’s Symphony No. 2. The soloist’s gorgeous voice is perfect for a variety of love songs. 7:30 pm on Saturday, February 15th at Tilson Auditorium.

Valentine’s Day is a holiday for couples, but sometimes what you need is a family date.

  • There are Valentine’s Day and love-themed books being read this week at the library. Check out the library link for times and details.
  • Similarly, on Tuesday at 6pm, kids can enjoy a Valentine’s Day craft and storytime at Barnes and Noble. Ages: 3-6. Cost: FREE!
  • Your date for the  Chick fil A dinner could be your son or daughter! (I asked–this is perfectly fine and encouraged!)
  • From 2:00-2:30 p.m. on Saturday, families are invited to the FREE Family Time concert/rehearsal with the Symphony.
