Have you played in this outdoor classroom in Terre Haute?

This post is part of an ongoing series focusing on our sponsor and partner, the Vigo County Public Library. Today’s highlight: The West Branch of the Vigo County Public Library and its outdoor classroom! Our enthusiasm for this space is genuine. It’s our pleasure to support the library!

In the not-too-distant past, the West Branch of the Vigo County Public Library had a complete makeover, and the end result was a beautiful addition to our community.

The indoor portion of the children’s area is modern, bright, cozy, playful, welcoming.

But my very favorite feature is the outdoor nature classroom!

This area has space for mess, nature, pretend play, butterflies and bees, gross motor exercise, and sunshine!

Our daughters were 5 and 2 when we spent time there this summer, and this area was perfect for their interests.

The focus is on learning through play, which is oh-so-important for our little ones!

Bonus: it’s fenced in! And all the moms breathed a collective sigh of relief. With the age range targeted here, a fenced-in, outdoor play area is hugely attractive!

Around the corner, there are a few shaded picnic tables. Bring the kids on a nice day for playtime and picnic at the West Branch of the Vigo County Public Library!
