When you enroll, please write/mention that you heard about their events on Haute Happenings. This will tell the coordinators that they need to send us their info! (Athletic camp details are traditionally the last to finalize and the hardest to find.)

FIGHTIN’ ENGINEERS PROSPECT CAMP

GRADES 10-12

The Fightin’ Engineers Prospect Camp is designed to help advanced players with their position specific skills and will give players insight into playing volleyball at the next level.

Campers will experience similar training and drills used in the Rose-Hulman Volleyball program. Prospects will get a personalized evaluation from our coaching staff. This feedback will inform players of things they can continue to work on to improve their game with tactical and technical instruction. This camp will include a Question & Answer session presented by current players for those interested in learning more about playing volleyball at the next level.

In addition to the camp, we will offer an optional campus preview day on July 16th before the first session. This preview will include a campus tour and admissions presentation for all attendees interested.

LITTLE ENGINEERS CAMP

The Little Engineers Camp is designed to give young players their first exposure to the basic skills and strategies of the game of volleyball. This camp stresses fundamentals, while giving fun and enthusiastic instruction.

Summer Dance at World of Dance

Registration for classes with our partners at World of Dance will happen in person on the following dates:

  • Noon-6:00

Choose from summer classes such as “tricks and tumbling” or “adult tap” and/or sign up for “beginner ballet” in the fall!

Basketball:

    • Rose-Hulman Basketball Camps for rising 3rd grade to 8th grade boys and girls. Tuesday, June 23 – Thursday, June 25 and Tuesday, July 7 – Thursday, July 9. In addition, RHIT will host a summer prospect camp on June 8 for students who will graduate high school in 2027-2029.
    • Matthew Graves Basketball Camp is focused on having fun and helping each camper improve his/her individual skills. There will be skill work each day, as well as contests, 3 on 3 games, and 5 on 5 games. Players will get an opportunity to work with current ISU players and staff members. Lunch will be provided each day or campers are welcome to bring their own lunch. Open to boys and girls in 2nd-12th grade. Register before June 1 and save $25.
    • Summer Basketball Camps with Wabash Valley Family Sports Center. June 22-25, 2026. Morning for grades 3-5 and afternoon for grades 6-8. $100 per player.
    • Terre Haute North Boys Basketball Camp. Calling all Future Patriots! Coach Woelfle and The Patriots are excited to host the annual Boys Basketball Summer Camp June 8th-11th! Campers in grades Kindergarten – 5th grade can register for $45 and Campers in grades 6th – 8th can register for $75.     • Terre Haute South Lady Braves Middle School Workouts. Future Braves in grades 5-8 are welcome to workout with the team.

Soccer:

  • THS Boys and Girls Youth Soccer Camp. July 20, 21, and 22. 5 years to middle school. Train with the Terre Haute South Lady Braves and Men’s Soccer teams!
  • Pee-Wee Soccer at the Vigo County YMCA. For ages 3-5! Tuesdays in June.
  • Indiana State University Soccer Camps. From fun introductory sessions for the youngest players, to intensive technical and tactical sessions for advanced players, all players are grouped by age and ability to ensure the optimal balance of fun, challenge and skill development. All camp sessions prioritize individual ball skills as well as fun games to put those skills to practice and develop teamwork. Players are encouraged to express themselves in order to develop confidence and creativity on the field. The Indiana State Youth Soccer Camp curriculum will include individual skill instructions, demonstrations by players and coaches from surrounding colleges, daily competitions, small-sided games and daily scrimmages.

Softball/Baseball

  • Indiana State Softball Camps. Camps will focus on the fundamentals of all aspects of the game including proper throwing mechanics, increasing arm strength, defensive fundamentals (IF, OF, pitching & catching), swing mechanics & base running. Players of all ability levels are welcome. Campers divided by age & ability level. We have assembled a veteran group of college players and  coaches experienced in camp instruction & dedicated to helping each camper become a better softball player.

Volleyball

  • Summer Camps with Rose-Hulman Volleyball. “Little Engineers” camp for grades 2-5 on July 13-14, “All Skills Camp” for grades 6-9 on July 15-16, and “Prospect Camp” for grades 10-12 on July 17-18.
  • Calling all high school volleyball players! Join SMWC for elite-level training and fun this summer! This camp is designed to teach and improve skills for high school volleyball players at all positions, entering grades 9-12. Individual instruction and training will focus on passing, setting, attacking, blocking, serving, and defense. Volleyball players will be able to gain experience through drills and games. All camp participants will receive a complimentary t-shirt. All skills camp for BOYS on July 25 and girls camp on June 20 and July 18.
  • Volleyball Camps at ISU. Camps include three “Mighty Trees” kids camps, 2 Jr. High Camps, serving camps, and elite camps for grades 9-12.
  • Summer Volleyball League at Wabash Valley Family Sports Center. .

Track/Field/Running/Speed

  • {New to our list in 2026!} Sycamore Track and Field Camp. The Sycamore Track & Field Camp is a three-day camp focused on improving knowledge and skill for all athletes. Athletes will be able to register for either Sprints/Relays, Hurdles, Long/Triple Jump, Pole Vault, High Jump, or Throws. Throwing events will include shot and disc with an opportunity to try javelin, and hammer. All camp sessions prioritize improved skill development and an increase in functional knowledge. Camp will be led by the Indiana State Track & Field coaches with assistance and demonstrations from current athletes and alumni.
  • 2026 Lace It Up! Kids Running Program is a free summer running program for kids ages 4-13. The 2026 program will run from June 8 – July 2. Kids Running Program meets Mondays and Thursdays, from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. at Lions 3 Shelter in Deming Park. Participants will then run in The Mile which will be held July 4.
  • THIRST Summer Speed Agility Camp. Looking to improve speed? Agility? Cutting technique? Improve acceleration and deceleration mechanics? The THIRST Summer Speed And Agility Camp is aimed to improve all these qualities over the course of four group training sessions. Training sessions will be held outside, to work on quickness, power, speed, and explosion for a variety of sports. Sports that can benefit include football, basketball, baseball, softball, tennis, volleyball, as well as track and field athletes. (As of May 14, dates reflect 2025 information not 2026 information.)

  • First Tee Indiana. Formed in 2018, First Tee – Indiana in Greater Terre Haute is one of the newest Indiana program locations. Formed in 2018, First Tee – Indiana in Greater Terre Haute is one of the newest Indiana program locations. The generosity of donors, community foundations and the City of Terre Haute led to the introduction of the First Tee School Program in all 18 of Vigo County’s elementary schools along with St. Patrick’s school and the five middle schools. In addition to the school and community center programs, First Tee junior golf sessions at area golf courses take place throughout the summer. Please see the schedule of class below for the 2026 golf season. Locations include Rea Park, Country Club of Terre Haute, the Landing at Fort Harrison, Hulman Links, Marks Par 3, and Idle Creek.  If you are registered for a First Tee class in the Spring, Summer, or Fall of 2026, Mark’s Par 3 Golf Course is inviting you to come and play their golf course on Mondays through the year at anytime. There will be NO CHARGE for participants who show their First Tee bag tag to the staff inside the pro shop.
  • Summer Open Practices with Terre Haute North Girls’ Golf.

  • Griffin Bike Park Summer Day Camp. We will provide bike riding clinics, structured rides, hikes, educational content, and fun games and activities all week at the bike park. Ages 8-14. 8:00 am to 5:00 pm each day. $40 per day or $150 for the full week. Register by June 5.

Sample/Conditioning:

  • Basketball, volleyball, tackle football, cheer, and flag football at the Terre Haute Boys and Girls Club.
  • Thirst gym youth performance camp. Looking to get your young athlete introduced to strength, conditioning, and performance training? The THIRST Youth Performance Camp is aimed to improve strength, speed, power, agility, core strength, and mobility. Training sessions will provide an introductory and fun way into the strength and conditioning room for youth athletes.
  • KE Camps at the Country Club of Terre Haute. Open to guests and non-members! Ages 5-12. Activities include golf, tennis, swimming, arts & crafts, group games, pickleball, and more!

Dance:

Summer 2026 Try Everything Dance Camp & Exploring Ballet Princesses from Terre Haute Academy of Dance

We will be crafting our tiaras and tutus that they will don during the studio performance. Since the student is just “trying out” different styles, special shoes are not needed for this week.  Socks can replace ballet slippers and jazz shoes.  Dress shoes can replace tap shoes.  Modern is done in bare feet.  Leotard and tights are preferred.  Dance skirt optional. A light snack break will be offered daily. Throughout the week students will be given lessons in ballet, modern, tap, and jazz and will offer a studio showing on Friday for family and friends.

Entering 1st  through 2nd Grade:

Camp 1 meets: July 06 – July 10, 2026

Tuition is $125.00 per camp.  Half is payable at the time of registration; the remainder is due the first day of the camp.  To register or for more information, please call the studio.
