This year, our guide to athletic camps and summer sports teams is proudly brought to you by Rose-Hulman Rec Sports and Athletic Facilities. We’re featuring Rose-Hulman swim lessons, which are open to the public!
Ready to spring into swimming? Register for group or private lessons at Rose-Hulman. Our group program is structured to promote water familiarization, safety, correct stroke technique and personal development within an enjoyable and safe environment. Each session consists of six, 45-minute lessons (except for Parent/Child and Level 1, which are 30 minutes in length).

Featured Camps from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology
End of School Sports Camp on June 1, 2018. For children entering grades 1-8, Rose-Hulman men’s basketball coaches and players will put on a 1 day sports camp for boy’s and girl’s that will include basketball, kickball, court games. $50.
Football and Basketball Youth Camp at Rose Hulman. For children entering grades 1-8, Rose-Hulman men’s basketball coaches and players will put on a 1 day sports camp for boy’s and girl’s that will include basketball, kickball, court games.
Engineer Elite Football Camps. Engineer Elite is designed for rising seniors and juniors interested attending Rose-Hulman and learning more about our football program. You will learn why Rose-Hulman is the BEST place in the country to study engineering, math and science and experience the excitement of the Fightin’ Engineer football program.
Basketball Elite Camp. The Rose-Hulman Elite Basketball Camp is a competitive basketball program geared towards experienced high school players (entering junior or senior year), with solid fundamental skills who want a rigorous basketball training with one of the nation’s top basketball programs. We will focus on skill development and assessment, team competition, individual development and an orientation to Rose-Hulman’s academics and campus life.

Princess Dance Camps with Nancy Sauer School of Theatrical Dancing. 2 separate sessions will be offered June 25, 26, 27 and July 30, 31 and Aug. 1, 8am – 12pm each day. Camps are $75 each and will include 3 days of dance instruction, a craft and snack each day, a t-shirt, a beauty day with an updo from Long’s School of Cosmetology, and a super fun performance on our last day. 1115 Wabash Ave. 812-232-5595.
Strive to Dance Camp at Strive 365. June 28 and June 29. $30.00. Ages: 4 – 10. Times: 4yrs – 6yrs (9am-11am) 7yrs – 10yrs (12pm – 2pm). Get ACTIVE this Summer and learn a new dance. Camp participants will perform at the Terre Haute Rex baseball game on June 29! Free T-Shirt
Boxing Boot Camp from Sweatbox Gym. June 4, 5, 6 10:30am-1:30pm. $45 for Sweatbox Members, $75 for non-members includes 3 days of training like a boxer, life lessons, discipline, games and motivation + daily snack and participation award. 1627 Poplar St. 812-232-5595 for details.
“Try Everything” Dance Camps at Terre Haute Academy of Dance. The first is July 9-13 for kindergarten through 2nd grade, and the second is July 16-20 for 3rd through 5th grades. Both camps meet each day from 10:00am-12:30pm. Each day they will study ballet, tap, jazz and modern dance and will perform for family and friends on Friday. Daily craft and snack included. $100.
Ninja, Cheer, Gymnastics, and Tumbling camps at Wabash Valley Tumbling and Gymnastics.
Terre Haute Junior Tennis Association summer tennis program.Sign ups are June 4. They will run morning sites at Honey Creek for two weeks then the courts are being resurfaced. Then the morning sites will be at West Vigo and North from 9-11 The afternoon program will be at North again from 1 to 4. Brochures will be online at thjta.com. This program is offered free of charge to any school-age child (k-9) at listed locations.
Tennis Classes for Kindergarten – 6th Grade. The class is now free of charge, and the dates are June 5-July 19 on Tues/Thurs from 11- noon at South. No lessons the week of July 4th. Parents can register by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or by showing up on the first day of class to fill out a registration form.
Wabash Valley Road Runners presents the FREE Kids Running Program for ages 4 – 12. June 4 – July 2, 2018. Mondays and Thursdays. 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. Deming Park at the Ozok Shelter. Participants receive a t-shirt, weekly training runs, entry in July 4th The Mile Race, and pizza party. Join the “Lace It Up” facebook group for updates.
Kids Bowl Free. Two FREE games each weekday from May 14-August 31. Terre Haute Bowling Center.
Indiana State Athletic Club. Outdoor track for ages 6-19. Join over 100 athletes (ages 6-18) from across the area this summer for track and field training and competitions. Our team focus is on improving each athlete, no matter the skill level starting out. When you join Indiana State Athletic Club, you are joining a large family of tradition, success, and passion for individual and team improvement. Registration is free. Season costs, if not already obtained, will be $20 USATF Membership, $30 IYTA Fee (Covers all 4 meets entries!), and Uniform $50. You can pay those now or when you begin in May.
Sycamore volleyball camp. Athletics wishing to attend sycamore volleyball camps are divided into groups according to grade (2-6, 7-12, and 9-12) and invited to attend camps at the end of July.
British Soccer Camps in Clinton, Marshall (Illinois), and Sullivan. Challenger Sports run over 4,000 professionally staffed summer camps and year-round coaching programs for players of all ages and abilities. Conveniently located in your local soccer communities, and in addition to helping develop your child’s soccer skills, confidence, and understanding of the game, Challenger encourages children to become independent learners; to develop socially; and to better understand the meaning of respect, responsibility, integrity, sportsmanship, and leadership. Challenger’s innovative curriculum will engage, educate, and entertain your child and each camp program include a free ball, t-shirt, poster, plus campers registering 45 days or more prior to camp will immediately receive a replica game jersey!
Camps at Illiana Gymnastics. Gymnastics Camp on June 4th – 7th. Cheer Camp on June 11th – 14th. Tumble Camp on June 18th – 21st. $80 for the first camp; $75 for each additional camp. 9 am – 12:00. Performances on Thursdays at 11 am!
