Haunted Events in Terre Haute and the Wabash Valley

Thursday, October 17. Ghost Hunt Tours in ROCKVILLE, IN. Ghost Hunt Tours are a walkthrough where you will spend an hour in each of the 3 main buildings and ghost hunt with crew members. Bring any equipment you have! The tour guide will provide you historical and paranormal information as you get to each building. These tours last 3 hours. Minimum age is 16.

Saturday, October 19. Chester’s Field of Horror Presents “Family Reunited.” Come and support Riley Elementary School at Chester’s Field of Horror! The event features a haunted house attraction with a theme of a family reunion, where Chester, the main character, has finally met his sister who loves to play with dolls. However, the teachers and kids at school begin to cry and cringe as the dolls and Clarice, Chester’s sister, get their revenge. The event also offers a ‘Little Boo’s’ option for first-time enthusiasts who want to do a walk-through with the lights on. Admission is only $5

Saturday, October 19. Nightmare on 19th Street with the MATTOON American Legion Post 88. Eat, drink, and be scary! Must be 21 or older.

October 25-26. HAUNTED Halloween Happenings at Deming Park. Haunted train rides and hay rides, snacks, treats, and more.

Friday, October 25. Let the Dead Speak: 3rd Annual Riverside Cemetery Walk in CLINTON, IN.

Saturday, October 26. Fowler Park After Dark at Fowler Park Pioneer Village. Be afraid, be very afraid and join us for the annual Fowler Park After Dark! On Saturday, October 26th from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., the VCPRD will be offering a haunted Halloween tour through Fowler Park Pioneer Village! Participants will meet at the Fowler Park Log Barn and will be guided through the village if they dare! Ghosts and ghouls lurk around every corner! Tours will begin at 7:30 p.m. Parking is available in the barn parking lot. Auxiliary parking is available in the beach parking lot. The registration fee for this event is $5 and can be paid upon arrival! Hot chocolate, apple cider, and limited concessions will be available for purchase. This is a haunted event and is not recommended for children under the age of 13.

Monday, October 28. Free showing of Scream at the Moon Lite Drive-In Theater.

Tuesday, October 29. Free Frite Nite: Halloween “1978” at the Moon Lite Drive-In Theater. Join for a FREE showing of Halloween, 1978, the show will start at 7:15 with gates opening at 6:15pm.

Shattered Nightmares Haunted House. 1609 Lafayette Ave, Terre Haute, IN 47804. Terre Haute. Open Friday and Saturdays in Oct and Nov 3rd and 4th, and Halloween Night!

“Bones Family Graveyard.” This house is famous for Christmas lights and Halloween decor. Approximate address: 29th and Hulman in Terre Haute. (Note: Not a haunted house! Just impressive decor. The decorations have not been confirmed for 2024.)

Halls of Madness and Devious Toys. 30 miles from Terre Haute in Paris, IL. This haunted attraction has been one of central Illinois’ favorite scare spots for the last 14 years.

Unreal Nightmares in Jasonville. Premium haunted attraction. Voted Best sound and in house mask/costumes 2019 by The Scare Factor Tea.

Fridays and Saturdays in October. Haunted Corn Maze at L&A Family Farms. As we approach Halloween, things are getting a bit spooky at night out in our ten-acre corn maze! It will be open for those who have the nerve to explore it and discover what’s out there. Bring a friend and trek through the rustling leaves, but watch your back! There’s no telling what you’ll hear or run into while you’re out after dark.

Nightmare on Cass St. in Brazil, IN.

Terror Mansion. 17 miles from Terre Haute in Brazil, Indiana. Terror Mansion at 211 N. Walnut Street in Brazil, will open Friday, October 1st.  It will be open Fridays and Saturdays in October from 8pm-10 or 11pm.  $10 per person.  Clay County’s ONLY 2 story haunted attraction. The Mansion has many twists & turns, spirits and ghouls, and you never know where they will lead you next! Try to keep from being locked into the mansion, because you just may become a permanent resident. Terror Mansion at 211 N. Walnut Street in Brazil, will not be open this year.

Frightmares Haunted House in Linton. Frightmares Haunted House is a small-town haunted house that strives to provide family-friendly haunted fun. We are completely volunteer ran and everything that is made through ticket sales is invested back into the haunt. We may not have the biggest props or the big city scares but we work hard to provide a quality haunted house that is close to home and for an affordable price!  43.5 miles from Terre Haute in Linton, IN. Closed after 10 years.
