Haunted Events in Terre Haute and the Wabash Valley

October 7, 8, 9, 14, and 15. Drive-thru scare at the Vigo County Fair Grounds.If you seek thrills and aren’t afraid of getting chills, load up your car with your family and friends and head to the Halloween Drive Thru Scare!

Saturday, October 15. Haunted Village at Spring Mill State Park.

October 21 and 22. Haunted Weekend in Forest Park in Brazil.8-11pm. Walk-through from shelter to shelter with scares for everyone.  Hayride following.  $10 per person.

Friday, October 28. Haunted dugout with Terre Town baseball! Come walk the frightening fields of Terror Town!

Friday, October 28. Fowler Park After Dark. Following the haunted tour through the village, bring your family, friends, blankets, and chairs, and join us for Ghostbusters: Afterlife (2021) presented by the VCPRD and DeeJay Danny Wayne!

Friday, October 28 and Saturday, October 29. Haunted Happenings from 7-10 pm at Deming Park in Terre Haute. Haunted train rides and haunted wagon rides. Cash only.

Saturday, October 29. Haunted hayride. Montezuma Pranks in the Park. Trunk or treat, hayride (haunted or unhaunted), meal with drink in Montezuma, IN.

Saturday, October 29. Haunted Halloween Maze at the lobby of the West Branch of the Vigo County Public Library. All Ages: Can you find your way through the twists and turns of this spooky maze? Discover new surprises at every dead end in this family-friendly labyrinth. Once you’ve solved the puzzle, celebrate your success with an “I Escaped!” photo at the selfie booth, snack on treats, and collect a free book!

Fridays and Saturdays in October. Haunted Corn Maze at L&A Family Farms. As we approach Halloween, things are getting a bit spooky at night out in our ten-acre corn maze! It will be open for those who have the nerve to explore it and discover what’s out there. Bring a friend and trek through the rustling leaves, but watch your back! There’s no telling what you’ll hear or run into while you’re out after dark…

Watch a scary or not-so-scary movie at the Moonlight Drive-In. Halloween Ends, Scoob (free showing), Casper (free showing), Frite Nites, and more are showing on the big screen in Terre Haute.

Shattered Nightmares Haunted House. 1609 Lafayette Ave, Terre Haute, IN 47804. Terre Haute. Open Friday and Saturdays in Oct and Nov 5th ,6th and Halloween Night!

“Bones Family Graveyard.” This house is famous for Christmas lights and Halloween decor. Approximate address: 29th and Hulman in Terre Haute. (Note: Not a haunted house! Just impressive decor. The decorations have not been confirmed for 2022.)

Halls of Madness and Devious Toys. 30 miles from Terre Haute in Paris, IL. This haunted attraction has been one of central Illinois’ favorite scare spots for the last 14 years.

Unreal Nightmares in Jasonville. Premium haunted attraction. Voted Best sound and in house mask/costumes 2019 by The Scare Factor Tea.

Canceled or Closed  in 2022:

Chester’s Field of Horror. This is a FREE home haunt south on 63 in the small town of Fairbanks. They say this, “We are a free, all outdoor haunted trail, donations much appreciated. 2nd house south of hwy 48, just past Fairbanks.. We also offer a free scare tour if you have some not-so-brave friends.” “This year we are closed for the season. Taking the time off for family and friends this season. Hoping to bring you a better haunt next year either at the same location or new! ”

Terror Mansion. 17 miles from Terre Haute in Brazil, Indiana. Terror Mansion at 211 N. Walnut Street in Brazil, will open Friday, October 1st.  It will be open Fridays and Saturdays in October from 8pm-10 or 11pm.  $10 per person.  Clay County’s ONLY 2 story haunted attraction. The Mansion has many twists & turns, spirits and ghouls, and you never know where they will lead you next! Try to keep from being locked into the mansion, because you just may become a permanent resident. Terror Mansion at 211 N. Walnut Street in Brazil, will not be open this year.

Frightmares Haunted House in Linton. Frightmares Haunted House is a small-town haunted house that strives to provide family-friendly haunted fun. We are completely volunteer ran and everything that is made through ticket sales is invested back into the haunt. We may not have the biggest props or the big city scares but we work hard to provide a quality haunted house that is close to home and for an affordable price!  43.5 miles from Terre Haute in Linton, IN. Closed after 10 years.

Shadow Asylum.949 North 10th St. Terre Haute. Due to remodeling, Shadow Asylum will not be open to the public for the 2022 season.
