Our sponsors at Valley Martial Arts are hosting a “SAFE” class! (Self-Defense and Awareness for Female Empowerment) taught by women for women!

  • Classes will be held at the VMA every Saturday morning from 9a-10a.
  • Women 16+ are invited.
  • Wear workout clothing Price: $20/person per class
  • Class will begin with a light warm up and a 10 minute yoga session, followed by 2-3 concepts for defense/awareness and self defense training drills.

Thursday, October 28. Lil’ Monster Ball at Terror Mansion in Brazil. 6-8pm, $5 per person.

Thursday, October 28. Free admission to “Beetlejuice” thanks to Bryant Insurance Agency at the Moon Lite Drive-In. 

October 25-30th. Children dressed in costume are invited to “trick or treat for books” at the Marshall Public Library during regular library hours. Each child who is dressed in costume with receive a free book and coloring page.

Friday, October 29. 6-8 pm. Downtown Terre Haute’s Haunted Haute. Downtown Terre Haute and the Terre Haute Chamber of Commerce present the 2021 Haunted Haute! Sponsored by ISU Credit Union. Come downtown for a scary good time! Local businesses will be open for free trick-or-treating, along with food trucks to purchase food and sweet treats. Dance the night away at the Monster Mash Dance Party by Mix FM!

Friday, October 29. Halloween Book Giveaway at the Vigo County Public Library. Pick up a Halloween treat you can enjoy all year long while you’re trick-or-treating downtown! Select a free book to take home, take a selfie at the photo booth, and play spooky games on the Library lawn.

Friday, October 29. 4th and 5th Grade Fall Costume Cookout at Maryland Community Church. All 4th and 5th Graders are invited to join a Fall Costume Cookout. We will get to enjoy a night of great food, fishing, friends, and more! Feel free to bring a friend and a lawn chair if you can! This is a parent drop off and pick up event. Friday, October 29. Halloween skate at Terre Haute Skate World. Costume contest, games, pie eating contest, and candy for kids. 

Friday, October 29. Fall Fun Night and Human Candy Crane at Highland-Church. Free family fun! Bounce houses, bumper cars, bonfire, hayride. 

Friday, October 29. Fowler Park After Dark. Be afraid, be very afraid and join us for the second annual Fowler Park After Dark! On Friday, October 29th from 7:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., the VCPRD will be offering a haunted Halloween tour through Fowler Park Pioneer Village! Participants will meet at the Fowler Park Log Barn and will be guided through the village if they dare! Ghosts and ghouls lurk around every corner!

Friday, October 29. Trick or treating at Sewer Lair Toys. Bring in your little ones dressed up in their favorite Halloween Costume on Friday October 29th from 6:30pm-7:30pm for trick-or-treating. They will be giving out full size candy bars! Yes, that is correct, FULL SIZE CANDY BARS! No purchase necessary. Limit 1 per child.

Friday, October 29. Trick or Treat at West Vigo High School

Friday, October 29. Open Door Christian Bookstore costume contest. Come costumed as an animal from the ark or as Noah! Photo op, prizes, bingo, balloon animal tutorial, Animo trading card game, good bag. 

Friday, October 29. Spooktacular fix-a-flat clinic with J’s Bikes. Join a FREE Halloween Fix A Flat Clinic. Discuss how to identify the causes of flats, how to patch and replace tubes, and how to take off a tire, check for damage and replace it. Please bring your bike or one wheel with the tire on it. This clinic is for beginners and experienced riders.

Friday, October 29. Trunk or Treat at Full Gospel Assembly of God. Full Gospel will host its annual Trunk or Treat on Friday, October 29th from 6 PM – 8 PM. There will be food, a cake walk, hayride, and lots of candy. Lots of fun for the whole family. 

Saturday, October 29. Halloween Party at the Dawgleg at Idle Creek. Costume contest with awards for best male, best female, best couple, and best group. Live music. 

Friday, October 29. Trunk or Treat at Once Upon a Child. 6-8 pm. 

Friday, October 29. 6:00-9:00 pm. Trunk or Treat with Local IBEW  at 950 Ohio St., 47803. Call Aaron at 812-223-4925 with questions. 

Friday, October 29. Monster Mash Dance at the Vigo County YMCA. Come dressed in your best costume, dance to fun songs. Enjoy candy and food and drinks. Play some games and learn the scary truths about tobacco and vaping. 

Saturday, October 30. Skullinary Queens Community Trunk or Treat at Fowler Park. This event will feature a monster mash dance party. Runners can join the Zombie Apocalypse 5k! 

Saturday, October 30. Halloween Party at Ferm Fresh. Decorate a pumpkin, games, crafts, treats, Halloween food and drinks. 

Saturday, October 30. No tricks, just treats at Cannonball Harley-Davidson. Enjoy some spooky beats from Pure Entertainment Mobile DJ Company, while your kids get to eat all the candy they want as they walk our sales floor collecting candy from each department! Check out the spooky costumes created from each employee and cast your vote on the best employee costume you see!

Saturday, October 30. Halloween parade at The Meadows. 1 pm. The parade will begin at the Farmers Marker. 

Saturday, October 30. Howl-O-Ween Dog Walk at Deming Park. Join a spooktacular Howl-O-Ween Dog Walk at Deming Park in Terre Haute! For only $15.00 (plus $5 per additional dog) you and your dog will enjoy meeting new furry friends with a group walk around the park, play on some agility equipment, enjoy a pup cup, and be entered into a drawing to win a Howl-O-Ween basket filled with goodies for your pooch! Unlimited Pawsibilities encourages puppy costumes!

Saturday, October 30. Kids’ Halloween Party at Brazil Elks. Come dressed up, Mickey will be dressed as a vampire and available for photos! Free hot dogs and chips will be available. Coloring activities and other fun surprises!

Saturday, October 30. Clay City Community Trunk or Treat. Dress up in your favorite costume, bring a bag or bucket and join in the fun! Candy, Games, Popcorn and More! This is a free community event for our young people! All kids should be accompanied by an adult.

Saturday, October 30. Welcome to the Zombie Apocalypse 5k! Run, dodge, and survive the Zombie Apocalypse 5k by either working together as a team or taking on the apocalypse solo in this zombie 5k! Register by October 24th to be guaranteed an event t-shirt.

Saturday, October 30 and Sunday, October 31. Make spooky glow-in-the-dark slime at the Terre Haute Children’s Museum. 

Sunday, October 31. Taghleef Industries sponsors a FREE community night with movies, games, food, and prizes at the Moon Lite Drive-In. Come in costume if you can!  

Sunday, October 31. Memorial Trunk or Treat. Bring the kids to walk along the trunks to get some treats from the people of memorial. Cars will be parked along the east side of the parking lot so families can enjoy the playground too!

Sunday, October 31. Trunk or treat at Gibson Auto Sales

Sunday, October 31. Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church Trunk or Treat. Join a family fun alternative to trick or treating at Mount Pleasant Church on October 31 from 5-7pm. Put on your costumes, drive thru in your vehicle, and get treats galore! Participants will enter the parking lot from our Sidenbender Rd. entrance, and then exit onto Davis Dr. after driving thru the parade of trunks and receiving their treats.

Sunday, October 31. Free admission to Hotel Transylvania and Halloween at the Moon Lite DMarrive-In. 

Sunday, October 31. Halloween Tea Party. Join Cotton Chaos for a spooky good time! They’re having a Halloween Tea Party with games, snacks, costume contest, and of course tea! Dress up in your best costume and get ready for a scary great time. Each ticket includes access to games, snacks, candy bag, and a regular cone or container of Halloween cotton candy! Upgrade to VIP for a limited edition specialty mug and jumbo size cotton candy!

Sunday, October 31. Candy Drive-Thru Giveaway with Remnant Church. Grab your kids, dress them up, bring their candy buckets, and take them for a ride in our Drive-Thru Candy Giveaway! Candy is for kids only, and they must be present to receive it.

Sunday, October 31. Drive Thru Trunk or Treat at Northside Community United Methodist Church. 

Sunday, October 31. Trunk or Treat at Union Christian Church. Vehicles will be decorated along the outer edge of our parking lot ready to pass out candy to the kids. You can also register to win a prizes.

Monday, October 4. Eco-Kits: Easy Costume Creation with the Vigo County Public Library. Save the planet and your money by making your own costume this Halloween! Use tulle and fabric paint to create a lace-like mask or sew your own custom costume with instructions from Gillian Conahan’s The Hero’s Closet: Sewing for Cosplay and Costuming.

Wednesday, October 6. Pumpkin Decorating and wine with Leadership Connect of West Central Indiana. Bring the kids to decorate pumpkins, drink wine (or not!), and socialize! Register to reserve your pumpkin and decorating supplies.

October 1, 2, 8, and 9. Drive-Thru Scare at the Vigo County Fair. 7-10 pm. Drive through the exhibit while listening to scary sounds from your radio with spooky characters!

Wednesday, October 13. Maker Hour: Fabric Pumpkins. Decorate for fall with an easy-to-sew fabric pumpkin. Complete the project using a sewing machine or create a no-sew option. Supplies will be provided at the WEST branch of the Vigo County Public Library. 

Wednesday, October 13. Community Halloween Movie Night at the Moon Lite Drive-in for Culinary Queens. Addams Family Values. Free admission thanks to FSA counseling. 

Thursday, October 14. Trunk or Treat from 6-7:30 (while supplies last) at Deming Park.

Friday, October 15 and Saturday October 16. Unhaunted Happenings at Deming Park. 6-9 pm. 

Friday, October 15. Pumpkin Carving Contest. Join the VCPRD Friday, October 15th from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Dogwood Shelter in Hawthorn Park for a Pumpkin Carving Contest! Pumpkins and carving implements will be provided to participants. All participants under the age of 13 must be supervised by an adult at all times and will require parental supervision during all carving- and scooping-related activities. Registration is required for this event and there is a $5 registration fee that can be paid upon arrival at the park. Please register by the registration deadline, Wednesday, October 13th by 4 p.m. 

Saturday, October 16. Fang-tastic fitness frenzy at the Vigo County YMCA. 4 hours of back-to-back group exercise, silent auction, food, raffle, and more. 

Friday, October 15-17. Monster’s Ball Softball Tournament. Costume contest, awards for each division, 4 game guarantee. 

Sunday, October 17. Addams Family showing at the Moonlite Drive-In. Free admission thanks to Ivy Tech. 

Thursday, October 21. “Uninvited” at the Moonlight Drive-In. Free admission thanks to the Vigo County Public Library. Free popcorn for first 100 cars. 

Thursday, October 21. Trunk or Treat with Meadows Elementary School. 

Wednesday, October 27. Free admission to “Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark” thanks to Crossroads Atheists at the Moon Lite Drive-In. 

Wednesday, October 27. Sonka Irish Pub Presents: Howloween: Dog Costume Contest. 

Wednesday, October 27. Movie Scare-a-thon at Bar_Botics. Ages 21+
