There are several Dr. Seuss events happening soon to help you celebrate America’s favorite nonsensical, colorful, silly, tongue-twisting author! March is Dr. Seuss’s birthday, and Terre Haute is ready to party!
March’s First Friday in Downtown Terre Haute is all about Seuss! You could not would not want to miss a First Friday as fun as this! From there to here and here to there we’ll have fun everywhere! Play, eat and shop… March First Friday you cannot top! Come by boat, by train, by car… come one and all from near and far!
Also on March 1st, celebrate Seuss at the birthday bash at the Terre Haute Children’s Museum! Come celebrate with stories read by the Cat in the Hat, activities and games throughout the museum, and birthday cake! First Friday’s special admission — $5 for all ages 2 and up — includes these activities! (And cake. We just wanted to remind you again.)
Star or no star, I like you just the way you are! Head to the lower level of the Vigo County Public Library on March 1 from 4:00-5:00 p.m. to learn about tolerance, diversity, and compromise. Each child who completes the Sneetches activity will be entered into a drawing to win a Dr. Seuss book and other prizes.
Have you ever made a Seuss-inspired hat? On March 1, you have the chance to do just that on the second floor of the Swope Art Museum!
