Terre Haute is Ready to Celebrate Seuss!

Whether you prefer Cat in the Hat, Mr. Brown Can Moo!, or (my least favorite) Fox in Socks there’s plenty going on this week to help you celebrate America’s favorite nonsensical, colorful, silly, tongue-twisting author! March 2nd is Dr. Seuss’s birthday, and Terre Haute is ready to party!4 Ways to Celebrate Seuss in Terre Haute and the Wabash Valley

On March 1st and 3rd, enjoy story time at Once Upon a Child, free books, and a coloring contest.

On March 2nd, celebrate Seuss with LEGO bricks at the main branch of the Vigo County Public Library from 4:00-6:00 p.m.! Celebrate the creations of Dr. Seuss with a Lego workshop with Bricks 4 Kidz. Explore stations for kids of all ages using both classic Lego bricks and Duplo blocks.

On March 3rd from 2:00-4:00 p.m., head to the ISU bookstore for a Seuss party with stories, activities, and crafts! There will even be cake and a photo booth opportunity. The party is set up as a come and go, so just stop in when you have a chance.

On, March 7th, join Bricks 4 Kidz at the Terre Haute Children’s Museum for Mommy & Me/Daddy & Me Workshop: Happy Birthday, Dr. Seuss. This workshop is for children 2-5 years of age and their caregivers. Parent & child workshops include a story time, Duplo build, craft and free play time. Included with Admission. Must register in advance.
