If you’ve never been to a Christmas event at Clabber Girl, let me give you a little preview.
We love that admission is free. In theory, your family could wander around and not spend a dime. In the past, we’ve watched an artist paint, listened to a story from Mrs. Claus, said hi to the horse and carriage, and sung along with the carolers for no cost.
There are also several activities available that involve purchasing tickets for $1 each.
With your tickets, you can do such things as:
Have your picture taken with Santa.
Make an ornament or Christmas craft.
Decorate Christmas cookies.
Tickets are $1 each and are purchased on the day of the event. Here’s a detailed look at what will be available!
4 craft tables: 1 ticket per craft
Face painting: 1 ticket
Gingerbread Cookies: 3 tickets
Santa Bucket Toss: 1 ticket
Letters to Santa & coloring pages: no charge
Stories with Mrs. Claus: no charge
Pictures with Santa: 5 tickets
Carriage Rides: 3 tickets/person (Only available 10AM-2PM)
Trivia with the United Way: no charge
Last year, there was quite a crowd at Clabber Girl Country Christmas! Instead of feeling frustrated, I chose to see it as a sign that Terre Haute families are supporting downtown businesses. And the more we support downtown, the more likely downtown is to offer kid-friendly events for us to attend and support!
This year, Clabber Girl has generously offered Haute Happenings the chance to give away $20 worth of tickets (to be picked up at the ticket table when you arrive.) I’ll choose TWO WINNERS on Thursday, December 8 to win this awesome prize! Each winner will receive $10 worth of tickets.
