33 Things to Do in August! Calendar of Events for Terre Haute and the Wabash Valley

The sleepy days of summer wrap up this month and back-to-school is on everyone’s mind! But as the kids prepare to hit the books, use our calendar to squeeze in some family fun!

This month our calendar is brought to you The Villages, a foster care agency. When you think about fostering teenagers, what comes to mind? Some families find teenagers to be the easiest age to foster, so they request only teens! Could this be you?

Many teens entering foster care have been the “caregiver” in their situation. To have a home where they can be kids and do age-appropriate activities can be life changing. Unsure? The Terre Haute office of The Villages is ready to support you and help you throughout the process.

As you look through this month’s calendar, which events could you imagine attending with a foster teen?

In World of Wonders, Aimee Nezhukumatathil provides a glimpse of the unique, exotic, and unfamiliar plants and animals which populated her childhood and her relationship with them, her family, and her own identity.
