Our go-to contractor for home projects is incredibly thoughtful. He brings flowers for our girls, homemade pickles to eat on peanut butter sandwiches, and (most recently) 30 pears from his neighbor’s pear tree.
What, pray tell, does one do with 30 pears?! Make pear sauce, of course!
I washed, peeled, and cut the pears before throwing them in the slow cooker with a bit of water and cinnamon. Yep, it was THAT easy. And my girls loved it. Last night, we took it straight from the slow cooker, added some yogurt, and ate it for dessert.
Of course you could also do this with apples! Since apples are generally harder, they may need more time to cook.
