But there are many other ways to show your patriotic pride. Come celebrate the 4th of July with an explosive firework experiment. Included with admission<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Rubber Duck Regatta, July 4<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>5:00 p.m. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/events\/844855832389622\/\">2018 Wabash Valley Rubber Duck Regatta<\/a>. Join us as we release 15,000 rubber ducks into the Wabash River for a race to the finish line. Adopt a duck for $5. One lucky duck will receive $10,000! Horsemen Costume Award presentation and Horse Show will follow at the Vigo County Fairgrounds.<\/p>\n<h3>Wabash Valley Road Runner&#8217;s Club, The Mile, July 4<\/h3>\n<p>8:15 a.m. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/events\/1643593182386139\/\">WVRR&#8217;s The Mile<\/a><strong>. <\/strong>This year\u2019s race will be the Regional Championship Race for the RRCA! TIME: The 1st race starts at 8:15 a.m. and there will be 6 different heats. LOCATION: starts N. Brown Avenue near Linden Street and finishes at the ISU Memorial Stadium. All school team members (minimum 4 per team) must submit their applications together. NO RACE DAY TEAM entries.<\/p>\n<h3>Vigo County Public Library, July 6, &#8220;What&#8217;s More American?&#8221;<\/h3>\n<p>4:00 p.m. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vigo.lib.in.us\/news\/5265\/first-friday-whats\">First Friday: What&#8217;s More American?<\/a> At VCPL Main Branch. You&#8217;re invited to a bite-size All American backyard barbecue complete with a kiddie pool and grill for pretend play. Try your hand at indoor baseball as you snack on tiny treats. Don&#8217;t forget to grab a piece of apple pie.<\/p>\n<h3>First Friday, Downtown Salutes, July 6<\/h3>\n<p>An evening in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/events\/295040304370528\/?active_tab=discussion\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">downtown Terre Haute to honor military veterans, active military and their families.<\/a> Enjoy a cookout by\u00a0RJL Solutions. Family fun at the\u00a0Terre Haute Children&#8217;s Museum,\u00a0Vigo County Public Library\u00a0&amp;\u00a0Indiana State University Bookstore. Enjoy the art exhibits, booths and military vehicle displays. Shop and dine downtown too!<\/p>\n<h3>First Friday at the Terre Haute Children&#8217;s Museum, Firework Science, July 6<\/h3>\n<p>5:00-8:00 p.m. Fireworks and science come together as you make fireworks in a jar and create your own fizzing black snake.
