Although I have no stats to prove my theory, it seems to me that most young Vigo County athletes participate in the Vigo County Youth Soccer Association<\/a> program at some point in time. My brother did. My husband did. \u00a0Our girls will. I wasn’t an athlete, so I missed out!<\/p>\n

In 1978, this program started with just 100 children. If you get the feeling that the program is\u00a0much bigger now, your intuition is correct. There are now more than 100 teams\u00a0<\/em>and almost 1000<\/em> players!<\/p>\n

One of my dreams is that the program gets to be so big that they start a north\/east side branch of the VCYSA. Wouldn’t that be great for those of us on this side of town?! Until then, most of my friends and neighbors happily drive “down south” to participate in this quality program.<\/p>\n
