Learn about taking care of our world and yourself with this week-long camp at ReThink in collboration with the Maple Center of Integrated Health. Hands-on learning through gardening and sustainable practices: Campers will explore how food is grown, learn eco-friendly habits, learn some new recipes, and engage in activities that promote mindfulness and well-being. Through guided reflection, creative projects, and outdoor exploration, they\u2019ll deepen their understanding of nature while developing skills that support both personal growth and a healthier planet.<\/p>\n

\n- Hands-on growing: <\/strong><\/b>Learn about gardening by planting, digging, and nurturing plants while learning how food grows and ecosystems thrive.<\/li>\n

- Practice mindfulness:<\/strong><\/b> Campers will develop healthy habits that can be used everyday to build awareness and find calm.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Additional Outdoor Farm and Nature Experiences:<\/h3>\n\n- Camp Roar with Exotic Feline Rescue Center<\/a>. <\/strong>Camp Roar is a one-of-a-kind camp where children can learn all about the residents of the rescue center in a close, safe setting, while also taking part in games and simulated rescues. Camp Roar is a single day camp for kids 8-15 years old that runs from 10am-4pm. Campers need to arrive by 9:45am. Parents are not permitted to stay at camp all day.<\/li>\n
- Griffin Bike Park Summer Day Camp. <\/a><\/strong>June 8-June 12. Coordinators will provide bike riding clinics, structured rides, hikes, educational content, and fun games and activities all week at the bike park. Ages 8-14. 8:00 am to 5:00 pm each day. $40 per day or $150 for the full week. Register by June 5. Call 812-462-3392 for more info or email Rich@Griffinbikepark.com.<\/li>\n
- \u00a0<\/strong>Summer fun for K-8th at\u00a0L&A Family Farms. <\/a><\/strong><\/strong>They host camps for kids entering kindergarten through 8th grade during the month of June. The camps will cover information about soil, plants and animals, and farm equipment and more. Experiment with soil, s<\/span>tart a sunflower patch for kids, v<\/span>isit pastures, brooder houses, and hen houses, g<\/span>ather eggs, l<\/span>earn about farm animals’ diets and behavior, b<\/span>ecome members of a honeybee hive and care for the hive, c<\/span>hoose a farm craft to make and keep, based on age range, t<\/span>ake home farm produce and seeds to plant, r<\/span>eceive a ticket for free admission to the sunflower maze later in the summer.<\/span><\/li>\n
- 4-H Camp at Shakamak State Park <\/a><\/strong> (June 7\u201310) is open to youth currently in grades 3\u20136 and includes boating, crafts, swimming, outdoor cooking, games, and more. High school students in grades 9\u201312 can apply to serve as camp counselors.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Horse CAMPS<\/h2>\n\n- Horseback riding camps from Full Bloom Farm<\/a>. Summer camp offerings for 2026! Tiny tots (for ages 5 and under), horse camp series for ages 6 and up, and one-day horse camp (on July 24).<\/li>\n
- Rocky Road Ranch Horseback Riding Day Camp. <\/a>Day camps are geared toward beginner and<\/li>\n
- intermediate level riders. Basic horse care, riding skills, and safety are emphasized. Games, demonstrations, crafts, and hands-on learning are used to enhance a child’s experiences.<\/li>\n

Camps from 2025; unconfirmed in 2026:<\/h3>\n\n- Crossroads Cyclery Summer Day Camp at Griffin Bike Park.<\/strong><\/a> Join for a week of biking at Griffin Bike Park. Activities include bike riding clinics, structured rides, hikes, educational content, swimming, games and more all week at the bike park. Be sure to pack clothes to be outside and to swim, comfortable shoes for outdoor activities and a sack lunch. Drop off will be at 8:00 am in the Fowler Park Log Barn and pick up will be at 5:00 pm at the Fowler Park Beach (Log Barn if there is weather). - Day Camps at Aris Farms in Clinton.<\/a> <\/strong>3, fun-filled days on the farm from 9am to 2pm. Grades 1 through 5. We will learn about farm animals, walk the nature trail and learn about trees and critters that live in the woods. Kids will enjoy nature crafts and games in our “Barnyard” area. They will get to walk an alpaca or llama on the nature trail on the last day. We all have a great time at our camps!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
