Things to Do with Kids in Terre Haute on May 31st, 2014

First things first: we’re giving away two gift certificates to ANY local business! One winner will be selected randomly from our email subscriber list (to thank you for subscribing!), and the other will be chosen from the people who comment on our facebook update. Good luck!

With that business out of the way, let me tell you about what’s happening in Terre Haute on May 31st, 2014.

Things to Do with Kids in Terre Haute

It’s the last day for the Banks of the Wabash Festival. Have you been?

It’s Lemonade Day! You can find the location of a few stands in this facebook thread and on the Lemonade Day page. Don’t miss the chance to support the littlest entrepreneurs in the Wabash Valley!

There’s an indoor yard sale at the Vigo County Fairgrounds. 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. More info here.

This is totally random, but Rural King is having their customer appreciation day. Free hot dogs from 11 a.m.-1 p.m.

At the library, learn about the Dragon Boat Festival and try your hand at origami with the Chinese School of the Wabash Valley. 1:00 p.m.-2:00 p.m. Registration not required.

Last but not least, Saturday is the first day to sign up for the library’s summer reading programEarly readers and kids in grades K to 5 can explore their world with Fizz-Boom-Read!, teens will Spark a Reaction, and adults can explore some Literary Elements of their own. (You can also sign up online or find more information here.)
