FREE fun this weekend in Terre Haute!

free fun in Terre Haute

This weekend there are at least THREE out-of-the-ordinary and super fun things for families and kids in Terre Haute. In case you haven’t looked at our calendar lately (which I recommend you check regularly so you don’t miss out!) let me tell you what’s going on this weekend:

1) Deming Park is having its annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 12.  The Parks Department takes a lot of pride in this FREE event, and it’s always a huge hit! There will be activities beginning at 11 am.  The egg hunt for 2-4 year olds will begin at 1:00 pm.  The egg hunt for 5-10 year olds will begin at 1:30 pm.

The egg hunt is divided into age categories, and there will be prizes for all. For those lucky enough to find the SPECIAL eggs, there will be several grand prize winners.

2) Lowes will be offering a FREE event for kids on Saturday morning. In 2012, Lowe’s stores and distribution centers recycled more than 400,000 tons of cardboard and pallets, the equivalent weight of 4 aircraft carriers! Bring your child to Lowe’s and they can get excited about recycling with this awesome Recycling Truck! Space is limited. Register via this link.

3) At 2pm on Saturday, Barnes and Noble will be hosting A Very Hungry Caterpillar Celebration. Bring the kids for snacks, a story, and lots of fun inspired by the book! Oh, and did I mention the price? It’s FREE!  If you have questions, call 812-232-2665.
