FIGHTIN’ ENGINEERS ELITE TRAINING AND PROSPECT CAMP
GRADES 10-12

The Fightin’ Engineers Elite Training and Prospect Camp is designed to help advanced players with their position specific skills and will give players insight into playing volleyball at the next level.

Campers will experience similar training and drills used in the Rose-Hulman Volleyball program. Players that are attending as prospects will get a personalized evaluation from our coaching staff. This feedback will inform players of things they can continue to work on to improve their game with tactical and technical instruction. This camp will include a Question & Answer session presented by current players for those interested in learning more about playing volleyball at the next level.

LITTLE ENGINEERS CAMP
GRADES 2-5

The Little Engineers Camp is designed to give young players their first exposure to the basic skills and strategies of the game of volleyball. This camp stresses fundamentals, while giving fun and enthusiastic instruction.

Featured Partner: Indy Eleven Camps with Vigo County Youth Soccer Association

These Indy Eleven + Vigo County Youth Soccer Association soccer clinics will provide an in-depth focus on teaching the fundamentals of soccer through a combination of fun activities, healthy competition, and engaged coaching. Our clinics hope to act as an integral step for young players to learn and master their skills, while more experienced players look to strengthen their techniques and learn new ways to progress as a player.

All participants will receive:

  • 2 tickets to an Indy Eleven game

  • THS Boys and Girls Youth Soccer Camp. Date: July 22,23 and 24. Time: 9:30 – 11:30 am (registration July 10 at the concession stand). Location: Terre Haute South Soccer Complex. Cost: $30.00 Ages: 5 years old – middle school. Bring a water bottle – soccer ball – shin guards are required.

  • Youth Soccer League with YMCA of the Wabash Valley starting on May 12. (Registration ends April 20)
  • Indiana State University Soccer Camps. The Indiana State Youth Soccer Camp curriculum will include individual skill instructions, demonstrations by players and coaches from surrounding colleges, daily competitions, small-sided games and daily scrimmages. July 15th – 17th for Grades K – 8th, Boys & Girls.

  • Summer Camps with Rose-Hulman Volleyball. The Little Engineers Camp (for grades 2-5) on July 15-16 is designed to give young players their first exposure to the basic skills and strategies of the game of volleyball. This camp stresses fundamentals, while giving fun and enthusiastic instruction. The All Skills Camp (for grades 6-12) on July 17-18 will focus on skill development in every aspect of the game, as well as full team drills and competitive games for skill application. The Fightin’ Engineers Elite Training and Prospect Camp (for grades 10-12) on July 19-20 is designed to help advanced players with their position specific skills and will give players insight into playing volleyball at the next level.
  • Ashlee Pritchard Volleyball Camps at ISU. Sycamore Kids’ Camp for grades K-4 on July 15. Middle School Camp on July 22-23 is designed specifically to train the skills of hitting, setting and back court play. Hitters, setters and defensive specialists  will be separated and grouped during the first segment of the camp according to position and skill level. Elite Camp for grades 8-12 on July 24-25 is designed specifically to train the skills of hitting, setting and back court play. Attacking, passing, and serving camps for grades 5-12 to focus on specific skills.
  • Girls’ Volleyball Conditioning 2024 on June 11, 18th, and 25th from 2:30-4:30 at Wabash Valley Family Sports Center. Ages 10-18. $5 per day.
  • Summer clinics and camps with COA Volleyball Club. Dates and info coming soon.
  • SMWC High School Volleyball Camp. This camp is designed to teach and improve skills for high school volleyball players at all positions, entering grades 9-12.

Track/Running/Speed

  • Speed U Track Club.
  • 2024 Lace It Up! Kids Running Program is a free summer running program for kids ages 4-13. The first session will be Monday, June 3rd. Kids Running Program meets every Monday and Thursday at 5:30-6:30 p.m. at Lions 3 Shelter in Deming Park. The program will run from June 3rd – July 1st. Participants can run in The Mile which will be held Tuesday, July 4th.
  • THIRST Summer Speed Agility Camp. Looking to improve speed? Agility? Cutting technique? Improve acceleration and deceleration mechanics? The THIRST Summer Speed And Agility Camp is aimed to improve all these qualities over the course of four group training sessions. Training sessions will be held outside, to work on quickness, power, speed, and explosion for a variety of sports. Sports that can benefit include football, basketball, baseball, softball, tennis, volleyball, as well as track and field athletes.

  • NEW in 2024! Terre Haute Torpedoes summer camp. THT Summer Camp consists of two offerings available for two days per week for 4 weeks during May, June, and July and hosted at the Vigo Schools Aquatic Center! “Middle School On-ramp” has been created specifically for student-athletes who recently participated in the VCSC middle school swim season. This program is perfect for the middle schooler interested in joining THT’s competitive program but is looking to improve their technique before joining the team. “Summer Tune-up” is designed for children ages 7 through middle school who are comfortable swimming without assistance and interested in learning the four competitive strokes (Freestyle, Backstroke, Breaststroke, and Butterfly). This program is a great option for swimmers who have completed our “Dolphin” level swim lessons. This option is also open to current THT swimmers interested in extra opportunities to improve their stroke technique!

  • First Tee Indiana. Formed in 2018, First Tee – Indiana in Greater Terre Haute is one of the newest Indiana program locations. The generosity of donors, community foundations and the City of Terre Haute led to the introduction of the First Tee School Program in all 18 of Vigo County’s elementary schools along with St. Patrick’s school and the 5 middle schools. In addition to the school and community center programs, First Tee junior golf sessions at area golf courses take place throughout the summer.

Dance:

  • Summer 2024 “Try Everything” dance camps at Terre Haute Academy of Dance. This camp is designed to give the student a taste of all the dance styles offered at Academy of Dance! Throughout the week students will be given lessons in ballet, modern, tap, and jazz and will offer a studio showing on Friday for family and friends. A light snack break and craft time will be provided daily. Since the student is just “trying out” different styles, special shoes are not needed for this week. Socks can replace ballet slippers and jazz shoes. Dress shoes can replace tap shoes. Modern is done in bare feet. Leotard and tights are preferred. Dance skirt optional.
  • Summer Dance at World of Dance. Camps for ages 2-4 with themes such as Under the Sea, Let’s Have a Tea Party, Disney, Down on the Farm, Glitz and Glam, and Around the World. Jazz and Hip Hop camps for ages 5-8.
  • Indiana Invasion Summer Vibes Hip Hop Class. 6 weeks of summer hip hop classes for ages 4 and up.
